Who we are

Hello we are Austin and Libby Johnson, joined by our daughter Evelyn. And we are the owner-operators of Pitter Patter Pond & Pasture.

We ultimately wanted to take control of our health and have influence over our food. Knowing where our food comes from, what the animals we eat for meat ate, and how they were treated was important to us. With the never ending list of chemicals, artificial ingredients, and toxic compounds being put into our food, we decided to start our own farm. Our goal is to provide our livestock with a nourishing and healthy life, to produce the best nutrient dense products directly from our land. To have complete control over what we consume was a big deal, but having control over what our animals eat was just as important. So we decided to start making our own livestock feed. To provide our animals with as natural and whole food as possible, limiting the additives, fillers, and medications that are typically fed to commercial livestock.

Together we are dedicated to being a regenerative farm, maximizing our land and making it more abundant and nourished year after year. We believe that regenerative farming’s main focus is to feed the land and not feed the profits from the land.

On our farm we started by raising ducks, we choose ducks over chickens as they produce a larger more nutrient dense yolk and produce delicious meat. And most breeds aren’t able to fly and get out of our pastures and fencing, like chickens. We then went to Diary Goats! Our herd is comprised of Nubian Goats, wanting raw goat milk to drink and create items like cheese, soaps, and lotions. Next we added Bees, to provide us with that sweet golden nectar, and to pollenate our plants and flowers. And last we want to add sheep and dual purpose cattle to the 5 acres of pasture we have at our farm. In order to produce a large amount of grass fed meat.

We want to provide consumers with the highest quality of local produce with roots in tradition and regenerative farming to make the land we have better for future generations.
